USAF veteran, DL Capt. Allen M. Ice

MARCH 21, 1945 – OCTOBER 16, 2021

 


From family we have received this news with the passing of retired Delta pilot Captain Allen Mitchell Ice, age 76.  Captain Ice joined Delta Air Lines 01-20-1977 and retired with Delta based ATL/030.  He is survived by his wife Carol, his daughter Angela, and his brother retired WA/DL pilot Capt. Bill Ice plus many more dear friends and family members.

Obituary :  Allen Mitchell Ice, age 76, of Lighthouse Point, Florida passed away October 16th, 2021. He passed away at Holy Cross Hospital after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Beloved husband of 40 years to Carol. Cherished Father of Angela; Father-in-law of Brad; Grandfather of Ava; Brother of Bill; Brother-in-law of Renate, Chris, Dave, Mike, Wendy, Julie, Clark, Sam, Bill, Rosie, Shelly Y, Manny, Pat, and Shelly M; Uncle of Jared, Bekka, Amanda, Drew, Michael, Nicole, Gina, Abby, Allie, Maggie, Jack, Charlie, Lily, and Cece.

 

He was an alumnus of the Illini and was a sports enthusiast. He was a Vietnam Airforce veteran and had a longtime career as a pilot of Delta and Net jets. Al was a beloved and respected friend to all who knew him. His kindness, decency and gentleness will remain in our hearts always!

 

The family will be holding a service on Deerfield Beach, Saturday, October 23rd at 3:30 pm. There will be a celebration of life at JB’s on the Beach after the ceremony from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
