Notification with the passing of retired Northwest pilot Captain Walter Jacob Nedza, age 81.  Captain Nedza joined Northwest Airlines 08-07-1967.  He is survived by his wife Sharon, his children and his grand- and great grandchildren.  Obituary information may be viewed online at https://obituaries.caminodelsol.com/obituary/Walter-Nedza

Obituary : Walter Jacob Nedza, age 81, passed away December 12th in Sun City West, AZ. He was born on September 28th,1940 in Chicago, ILL.  After graduating St. Joseph College IN, he joined the Marine Corps and fought in the Vietnam War.  He was a pilot of the CH46 Sea Knight Helicopter and earned multiple citations in combat. Following the war, Walter became a pilot at Northwest Airlines for 33 years and retired in Arizona. Walter is survived by his wife, Sharon, of 59 years, a daughter and son, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, and one brother. He was preceded in death by two sons and one sister. Services will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes in Sun City West, AZ on December 28th 9:30 am with committal service to follow at National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd at 1:00 pm.  Please join Walter’s family in sharing memories, pictures or videos on his tribute wall at www.caminodelsol.com
