Captain Lundy joined Delta Air Lines 08-15-1969 and retired with Delta based 031/ATL.

He is survived by his wife Ann, and by his children and grandchildren.

Obituary : Joseph A. Lundy of Coral Springs, Florida passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the age of 80.

He was born in Manhattan, New York to Frank P. Lundy and Mildred (Loudis) Lundy. Joseph attended Holy Cross High School in Flushing, New York as a member of the first graduating class in 1959. Later, he attended Villanova University in Pennsylvania where he earned his BA in Mechanical Engineering, class of 1964. Joseph served six years in the United States Navy. He was stationed in Jacksonville, Florida where he proudly served his country as a Lieutenant and Naval Aviator. After his honorable discharge, Joseph began his career as a pilot with Delta Airlines and flew for 32 years where he retired as Captain.

 

Joseph is survived by his wife, Ann Lundy of 54 years, his two children, Frank Lundy of Coral Springs, FL, daughter, Suzanne (Lundy) Roth and son-in-law Gary Roth of Orlando, FL, four grandchildren, Megan, Kate, Garrett and Riley, and brother Anthony Lundy and sister-in-law Rose Marie Lundy of Bayside, NY. Joe will be incredibly missed by his family and friends.

 

Visitation for Joseph will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1 North State Road 7, Margate, FL 33063, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
