Glenn Staley's passing on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 has been publicly announced by KOSEC FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY in PORT TOWNSEND, WA.

Notification with the passing of retired Delta Air Lines pilot Captain Glenn Edward Staley, age 87.  Captain Staley joined Delta Air Lines 01-16-1961 and was based DFW, then PDX prior to retirement.  He is survived by his wife Peggy, and by his children and their families.

GLENN STALEY OBITUARY

Glenn Staley, age 87, passed away at Olympic Memorial Hospital. He was born in Loup City, Nebraska and grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1957. After serving for four years, he became a commercial airline pilot for Delta Airlines in 1961 and retired after thirty-four years.

 

Glenn was a lifelong and devout Catholic. He was active in the Legion of Mary and served as an extraordinary minister, taking communion to the home-bound. He is survived by his wife Peggy, daughters Kim Staley and Mary Laiti, son-in-law Jay Laiti, son Chris Staley, daughter-in-law Kellie Staley, grandsons Killian and Aiden Staley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will take place at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1300 Blaine St., Port Townsend, WA., on April 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. (rosary at 9:30 a.m.), immediately followed by burial services at St. Mary's Cemetery. Anyone wishing to send flowers, they should be delivered to the church. A reception will be held in the church hall following the burial.
