the late Charles R. Stratton and the late Celia Lay Stratton. She was born in
Washington, DC on January 16, 1959, and grew up in Alexandria, VA. She
graduated from T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria (class of '76). T.C.
Williams was made nationally famous in the year 2000 movie, "Remember the

Janet graduated from Emory & Henry College, Virginia (1980). She met her
future husband, Michael Sloan, at Emory & Henry. They were married in

in Florida, Texas, and California while Mike served in the Navy. From Mike's
last duty station in Pensacola, FL, they moved to Flower Mound, TX and Mike
began his civilian career flying for Delta Airlines. Their children, Kelsey and
Connor Sloan, were born while they lived in Texas. In 2004, their family moved
to Peachtree City, GA. Janet obtained her real estate license and worked for
Berkshire Hathaway in Peachtree City as a realtor.
Janet cherished her family, and she was a devoted
