ROBERT WOLF OBITUARY

Robert Aaron (Bob) Wolf, 85, of Fort Myers, FL and Apple Valley, passed away April 21st in hospice near his home in Fort Myers, with his family and friends by his side. Born in Paterson, NJ on May 28, 1937, he was the son of the late Harold Wolf and Lilian Weiss Wolf. Mr. Wolf was preceded in death by wives, Suzanne Wolf Dionne and Adrianne Kelfer Wolf; and brothers, Jack (Myra) and Martin. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Wolf (Ken) Hawkinson of Lakeville, MN; grandchildren; Nicholas Hawkinson and Sarah Hawkinson; sister, Andrea Wolf (Jay) Kalish; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Wolf is a graduate of Fairlawn High School (NJ). He then enlisted in the US Air Force and attended Aviation Cadet Pilot Training. Mr. Wolf was commissioned a Second Lieutenant and awarded silver wings in June 1959. While on active duty he was stationed in Goose Bay AB, Labrador, Canada; Keesler AFB, Biloxi, MS; Mather AFB, Sacramento, CA; and Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage, AK. In October 1968, he was hired by Northwest Airlines and flew in various positions on the B-707, B-727, B-747, B-757. After almost 30 years with NWA, Bob retired in Honolulu, HI in May 1997 as a Captain on the DC-10. In retirement Bob enjoyed golfing, fishing and meeting up with friends for cigars, scotch, and conversation about the latest political shenanigans. Graveside service 9:30 am, WEDNESDAY, May 24th, FT. SNELLING NATIONAL CEMETERY, (Assembly Lane #4) 7601 34th Ave. S., Minneapolis. A gathering of family and friends will be held following the internment.

USAF veteran, NWA Capt. Robert A. Wolf

This news comes to us from the Retired Northwest Airlines Pilot group/RNPA…..the passing of retired USAF Maj. And retired Northwest Airlines pilot Captain Robert Aaron Wolf, age 85.  Widowed in May of 2012, Captain Wolf is survived by his daughter Deborah and her family.

 

NWA pilot Robert A. Wolf, age 85, died April 21, 2012 of pneumonia and

kidney failure. Bob was hired by NWA on October 07, 1968. At the time of his

death Bob resided in Ft. Myers, Florida.  

Bob Wolf is survived by his daughter Deborah Wolf who plans to have her

father interred at Ft. Snelling. Details will be shared once plans are laid.

August 18, 1943 - May 21, 2012

Adrianne Wolf (Kelfer), age 68, of Apple Valley, formerly of Honolulu, HI, passed away May 21, 2012 after a long battle with myelofibrosis. Preceded in death by parents, Julius & Mina Kelfer. Survived by husband, Robert; step-daughter, Deborah (Kenneth) Hawkinson…………….. Adrianne was born in San Antonio, TX, graduated from the University of Texas, and had a successful career with IBM……………..interred FT. SNELLING NATIONAL CEMETERY
