friends and family comes this news with the passing of retired Delta pilot and
Delta Golden Wings member Captain Henry “Hank” Morrison, age 91. Hank joined Delta Air Lines 01-02-1956 and
retired with Delta in 1992. Captain
Morrison was based Miami for the majority of his career, then Atlanta in the
later years before his retirement.
*Note:
Friends reported his passing as that of September 19th, yet some of the online
sources mention a date of passing as the 17th.

T. Morrison III, 91, was born on September 9, 1932, in McClellanville, SC. He
recently passed away on September 17, 2023. Henry attended Dreher high school
and the University of South Carolina. He worked for Delta Airlines. Henry
served in the SC National Guard. To honor his memory, donations can be made to
St. James Episcopal Church, Village Museum in McClellanville, SC, or a charity
of your choice.

Henry
T. Morrison, III, 91, died September 17, 2023. He was born September 9, 1932 in
McClellanville, SC to Henry T. Morrison, Jr. and Lois Howell and is survived by
his grandson, Henry T. Morrison, IV and several first cousins. He had a
wonderful childhood in McClellanville. After his father died in 1944, he and
his mother moved to Columbia, SC. where his mother taught school. He attended
Dreher high school and the University of South Carolina and was a jet pilot for
the SC National Guard and later was a pilot for Delta Airlines where he was the
“Chief Pilot” in Miami, Florida until his retirement at age 60. In his
retirement years he lived in Miami Beach and Navarre Beach, Florida. A private
ceremony will be held by family members in his memory. In lieu of flowers
contributions can be made to the St. James Episcopal Church or the Village
Museum in McClellanville, SC. or a charity of your choice.
