*NWA Capt. Rupert Erling Thompson

August 18, 1940 ~ June 16, 2023

 

As noted in the September issue of the AIR LINE PILOT magazine…..the passing of Northwest Airlines pilot Captain Rupert E. Thompson, age 83.  Born/raised in Minnesota, Rupert Erling Thompson joined Northwest Airlines 04-19-1965.  He had most recently resided in Florida : 1400 Shadwell Cir., Lake Mary, FL 32746

To the best of my knowledge Rupert is survived by his wife Julia Ann Thompson, née Pitney.  They married in April of 1966 in Minnesota.  To date I’ve not been able to find an obituary online.  If anyone has more information, we would be happy to hear from you.
