I went to high school with Doug. and served with him on the USS Kitty Hawk in the Tonkin Gulf. He was flying A-4 Skyhawks and I was in E-2 Hawkeyes. I did no see him for several years until I ran into him in the Western pilot lounge in SLC.

ReplyDeleteDoug was just a great guy with whom to fly. We worked together for many years in Delta’s Flight Training Department. He was one of those people who made my career with Delta so enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteDoug was a class act. A true professional with a very calming demeanor. I worked with Doug for many years in the Delta Flight Training department. Seems he and I were in a race to see how many children we would have. We tied at 5. Being a Naval Aviator was just the icing on the cake. Keep the approach lights on step 5 for the rest of us Captain Cutter.
