Philip Reeve Jones, born on April 5, 1947, in San
Francisco, California, peacefully departed this world on June 15, 2024, in
Peachtree City, Georgia, at the age of 77.
Philip lived a life colored by courage and
dedication. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force during Vietnam,
Philip bravely flew missions in the Vietnam War before transitioning into a
fulfilling career as a pilot for Delta Airlines. His passion for aviation was
unmatched, and his skills graced the skies with grace and precision.
In 1972, Philip embarked on another remarkable
journey when he married the love of his life, Jane Jones. Together, they built
a beautiful family filled with love and cherished memories. As a devoted
husband and father, Philip found joy in spending time with his family,
relishing every moment shared together.
With an unwavering spirit and determination,
Philip pursued academic excellence by obtaining his Bachelor’s from Tulane
University and an MBA from Oklahoma City University. He was also a founding
member of the Peachtree City Running Club, showcasing his commitment to staying

Philip’s other passion in life was sailing. His
love for sailing was more than just a hobby; it was a reflection of his
fearless approach to life — taking on each wave as it came, rising above
storms, and finding peace in the rhythm of the ocean.
Philip is survived by his children, Adrienne Jones
and Chris Jones, as well as his brother Mark and his wife, Carrie Jones. He is
preceded in death by his beloved wife Jane Jones and his parents Paul and
Margaret Jones.
Philip’s legacy will live on through the lives he
touched and the memories he created. His kindness, strength, and unwavering
commitment to his loved ones serve as a beacon of inspiration for all who knew
him. May his spirit soar high like the planes he once navigated with skill and
grace.
