Jon W. Lamb Funeral services for Jon W. Lamb,
52, rural Chelsea, were held Tuesday, March 17, at Hrabak's Funeral Home,
Chelsea. Lamb died suddenly at his home on March 13, 1992. The Rev. Greg
Caldwell of the Chelsea United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in
National Cemetery, Vining. Jon W. Lamb was born December 2, 1939, at Belle
Plaine. He was the son of Naida Oliphant and George W. Lamb. He graduated from
Chelsea High School in 1958, and Spartan School of Aeronautics, Tulsa,
Oklahoma. He married Mary Koepke on April 17,1971, in Wheaton, Illinois. He had
been a Delta Airline captain and a farmer. He formerly lived in McHenry,
Illinois from 1972 until 1976, when he moved to his present home. He served in
Korea with the Army from 1959-1961. He was a member of the Airline Pilots
Association; Farmers 4-County Co-op Board; and was a member of the Chelsea
United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one
brother; and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial
scholarship fund has been established.

Mary R Lamb, 79,
of Fond du Lac, died at home in hospice care, on Monday, November 11, 2024,
surrounded by nieces, friends and home caregivers.
She was born on February 19, 1945, in
Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Edward and Laura Koepke. She grew up in Eldorado
and was a graduate of Rosendale High School, Class of 1963. On February 17,
1971, she married Jon Lamb, in Wheaton IL. He preceded her in death on March
13, 1992.
Mary was a Delta Stewardess for 15 years.
Jon and Mary moved to Chelsea, Iowa, where Jon farmed part-time and continued
flying as a Captain for Delta Airlines. Mary moved back to Fond du Lac WI in
2005 to be closer to family and friends. Mary spent many winters with her
sister Barb in Tucson where they shared a love of southwest art and exploring
Arizona. She enjoyed hosting card games and had a love of gardening vegetables
and flowers. Mary was a loyal Packer fan, loved sports in general, and was an
avid summer and winter Olympics follower.
Mary had so many outings with her best
friend Sherry Zickert who was her constant, treasured and trusted friend and
companion. Mary is remembered for her resiliency, her ability to live her life
fully, and her generous spirit.
Mary is survived and deeply treasured by her
sister Barb Bluemke, nieces Kathy (Bluemke) Gottlieb, Brenda Bluemke, Mary
(Bluemke) Hoel, and Kourtney (Lamb) Buchholz, and nephews Gary Bluemke, Mark
Bluemke, Jake Lamb, Aaron Koepke, and Adam Koepke.
She is preceded in death by her parents,
husband, and brother, John Koepke.
Mary’s family would like to thank the SSM
Hospice organization for the amazing care and compassion provided to her and
the family. We also want to thank her home caregivers, who became family to
Mary. Mary loved them as much as they loved her.
VISITATION: The family will greet friends
and relatives from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Kurki
Funeral Chapel, 31 E Division St, Fond du Lac, WI.
SERVICE: No funeral services will be held at
Mary’s request. Mary will be buried next to her husband in Chelsea, Iowa.
