~ IN MEMORY ~
USAF veteran, DL Capt. Mazel Bert Erickson
November 1, 1954 ~ February 15, 2025
From
friends and colleagues : sadly, Mazel Bert Erickson, 23 Barnstormers and ' 76, passed away
on Saturday, 15 February in Beaufort SC. So you know, he had a particularly
tough year in 2024 with his father's passing in February and his second wife of
18 years, Hallie, passing away in September unexpectantly while he was in the
hospital in Columbia getting an operation for a broken leg. He was alone and in
a wheelchair at home at his passing....truly sad state of affairs for a usually
jovial soul.
Mazel joined Delta Air Lines
09-25-1987. His wife F/A Hallie flew for
Delta from March 2000 to June 2006.
They had most recently resided
at : 2007 King
St, Beaufort, SC 29902.

Hallie Knotts
September 7, 1966 — September 5, 2024
Hallie Knotts, devoted wife of Mazel
Erickson of Beaufort, SC (formally of Charleston, SC, St. Simons, GA, and
Atlanta, GA) passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on September 5, 2024.
Hallie was born and raised here in our
beautiful Lowcountry and was a graduate of Battery High School. She attended
the University of South Carolina and took on a career in the bright blue skies.
She took great pride in serving clients as a flight attendant for Delta
Airlines (where she met her husband Maze) and also for the private airlines,
NetJets where she flew the rich and famous.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved
her and those she came in contact with. She had a vibrant personality and
comical nature. She loved loud music and fast fancy cars…sometimes evading a
Highway Patrol or two on her journey.
In addition to her husband, Hallie is
survived by her big sister Ann Brown (Bill) of Beaufort, SC; brother Russell
Knotts Jr. (Sarah) also of Beaufort, and close family and friends.
