The world lost a very special man on the 14th. My
dad, Alvin Andrew Lind was such a wonderful husband , father and
grandfather! He took care of us in
everything he did! He worked hard and
played hard! He taught me so much and
gave me so much. We had grand adventures together! He was such a kid at heart and lived life
with vim and vigor! He loved us
fiercely! He was born and raised near
Honolulu, flew fighter jets in the Air National Guard, became captain at
Northwest Airlines, made custom rifles and shotguns, was the president of the
National Rifle Association, was an avid fly fisherman and rode hunter/jumpers
with me for years. I can’t even begin to sing all his praises. Everyone that
knew him loved him! He died at home
surrounded by loved ones and I am grateful to have had the time to come
together as a family and say goodbye! I
love you Daddy! Thank you for everything
you have given us and taught us! We will
be ok. Say hi to Maggie and Keiki!
