IN THE CARE OF Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home &
Memorial Park
In Loving Memory
Brian Keith Nance, 71, born in Mount Clemens,
Michigan on November 1st, 1954; passed away March 19th, 2026 at his home in
North Richland Hills, Texas.
Brian lived a life full of adventure, dedication,
and deep love for his family. He was a devoted husband to Pamela Kopfer Nance,
whom he met at the young age of 15. Together, they shared 50 wonderful years of
marriage, an enduring partnership built on loyalty, commitment, and unwavering
support.
He was a proud father to his four daughters,
Shannon, Brittany, Heather, and Brianna, and a loving grandfather to Mason
(22), Presley (10), Parker (3), and Liam (3). Brian was the kind of dad who
showed up - no matter what, no matter when. Whether it was fixing something,
offering advice, or simply being present, his family knew they could count on
him at the drop of a hat.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Cort
and Patty Nance. He is survived by his sister, Stephanie Swart and her husband,
Tim Swart of Maryland.
For over 40 years, Brian built an incredible
career as a commercial airline pilot, serving as Captain for Northwest and
Delta Airlines. His career took him around the globe - from Amsterdam to the
Philippines - fueling his love for travel, culture, and experiencing the world
in all its diversity. But more than anything, Brian simply loved flying.
Outside of flying, Brian had a wide range of
passions. He loved motorcycles, boating, and never missed a good gun show. He
was an avid collector, an Amazon enthusiast, and someone who truly enjoyed the
simple pleasures - whether that meant dining around the world, listening to
country music, watching cartoons, or admiring Clint Eastwood classics. The
State Fair, Six Flags, and the Dallas Arboretum were favorite traditions.
Animals always held a special place in his heart, growing up with horses, and
having cats. dogs, and birds while raising kids. Brian loved taking pictures
and videos but was rarely the one in front of the camera. If it existed, he
probably had a picture of it - kids, moments, and plenty of random stuff no one
else would think twice about. Because of that, he left behind countless albums
full of memories.
Brian was known for his strong character -
stubborn at times, but always grounded in integrity, generosity, and
dependability. He was a proud, strong Texan, a true gentleman who believed in
old traditions, carrying himself with respect, pride, and a strong sense of
responsibility to those he loved. If something needed fixing, Brian made sure
it was taken care of. He lived life on his own terms, with a deep appreciation
for the people he loved and the things he cared about most.
More than anything, Brian will be remembered for
the way he loved - steadfast, protective, and proud of his family. His legacy
lives on in the lives of his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and all who had
the privilege of knowing him.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 26th,
