Military veteran, DL Capt. David “Dave” Anderson

As noted in the September issue of the ALPA magazine’s In Memoriam column, the passing of Delta Capt. David C. Anderson in July of 2026.  David Carlton Anderson joined Delta Air Lines 08-20-1997.  Dave is survived by his wife Amelia, and by their children, and by Dave’s mother Nancy.

David "Dave" Carlton Anderson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Dave Anderson at the age of 63.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Amelia, her son, Kenneth, Dave’s children, David Jr. and Kimberly, his dear mother, Nancy Anderson, three brothers and three sisters, Terry (Cindy), Jeanne Kadechka (Dave), Tom (Lisa), Shelly McNulty, Kelly Ruoho (Jeff), Joe (Wendy); 17 nieces and nephews; 25 grand nieces and nephews.

We take comfort in believing Dave is at peace and reunited with his dad, Orville (Bill) Anderson, his son, Jake, and his nephew, Brandon.

Dave will be fondly remembered for his ambitious determination and the courage to follow his own path. He’ll also be remembered for his sometimes-goofy sense of humor and perfectly timed one-liners.

Dave, we will miss you coming home, your beautiful smile, your calm presence, and your kind soul. Most of all, we will miss you.

A celebration of Dave’s life will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2026, 5:00 P.M. with visitation beginning at 4:00 P.M. at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater MN.

Committal service and burial with Military Honors will take place Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minnesota.
