News with the passing of retired NEA/DL pilot Jerry Giroux has reached us.  Captain Gerald Lloyd Giroux Sr. was 77 years of age at the time of his passing on Wednesday, February 11th.  Captain Giroux joined Northeast Airlines 03-06-1967 and retired with Delta Air Lines in 1997.  He was based Miami and Atlanta, then 030/PDX at the time of his retirement.  Captain Giroux had most recently resided at   
4470 Reidsboro Road , Williamson  GA 30292-3470   ...  (770) 229-4045.

Services for Captain Giroux were held yesterday February 14th in Zebulon, Georgia.

Jerry Giroux
Mr. Gerald Lloyd “Jerry” Giroux, Sr., age 77, of Williamson, passed away February 11, 2015 at Spalding Regional Hospital. He was born in Michigan, son of the late Lloyd Giroux and Rosanna Murphy Giroux. He was a pilot for Delta Airlines for 30 years before retiring. In his early years, he was a general contractor. Jerry was a member of the Griffin Moose Lodge and enjoyed building and working on aircraft. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel.
He is survived by his children and their spouses: Karen and Greg Smith of WA, Charlotte and Rick Hall of Cleveland, GA, Janet Arnold of Woodstock, GA, Gerald Lloyd (J.R.) and Virginia Giroux of Coral Springs, FL and Catherine Giroux of Norcross, GA; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, Judith Giroux of Williamson; and a sister: Carol.
 
Friends may visit the family on Saturday, February 14, from 1-2 p.m., at the funeral home. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Moody officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Jerry's name to the American Cancer Society.
Moody-Daniel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
