___ PCN FLIGHT WEST is sponsored by the Pilot Communication Network and is a service of the PCN provided for the Delta Pilot Retired family of pilot groups. Flight West was started and is maintained to accomplish two main goals. After we become aware of a colleague who has Flown West, 1. We aim to produce a “timely” notice sent to our community that allows for support and interaction from our group toward the grieving family of our friend and colleague. 2. Then, we aim to “archive” that notice on our Flown West Blogspot as a lasting accessible place of Dignity and Honor of our colleague for family legacy and posterity. Contributor contact info is generally removed before posting (unless requested otherwise).

Obituary :  Martin, Philip LeRoy Age 75, of Stillwater, MN passed away July 20, 2021. Born in Winchester, IN, Phil later went on to graduate from Lawrence University in WI. Abandoning his History major, he enlisted to serve in the U.S. Air Force. Later, as a pilot for Air Florida, he moved to Miami where he'd marry his wife Patricia ("Patti") and they'd have their son, Drew. Not knowing the seasonal swing they were in for, they relocated to Stillwater in '89 where Phil would finish out his long, accomplished career as a pilot for Northwest Airlines. In his retired years, he was an avid golfer, fisherman, pickleball player, and local tour guide. He was an excellent father, a wonderful husband, a loving brother, but most of all a best friend to many. Phil passed away peacefully in the home he lived in for over 30 years, with his son Drew at his bedside. He was preceded in death by Patti Martin (wife), Gerald Martin (father), Charlotte Keiser (mother), David Martin (brother), Victor Keiser Sr. (step-father), and David Keiser (step-brother), and survived by Rebekah Fralick (sister), Jeffrey Keiser (brother), Lincoln Keiser (step-brother), and Victor Keiser Jr. (step-brother). A celebration of Phil's life will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center: 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 and Co Rd 5), Stillwater. Visitation will be held from 12-1PM, with a service immediately following.
