Notification with the passing of retired Northeast/Delta
pilot Captain Irving William Kreider, age 86.
Captain Kreider joined Northeast Airlines 05-02-1966 and retired with
Delta Air Lines in 1994, based ATL/030 at time of retirement. Widowed in November 2017 with the passing of
his wife Barbara, Captain Kreider is survived by his daughter and his grandson.

Obituary : Mr. Irving William Kreider, age 86 of Griffin,
passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at WellStar Spalding Hospital.
Mr. Kreider was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on November 26,
1934. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Irving Kreider and
Beatrice Thelma Winter Kreider; wife, Barbara Ann Calahan Kreider; son, Timothy
William Kreider. He was a Korean War veteran having served in the United States
Air force. Mr. Kreider also worked for Northeast Airlines and retired from
Delta Airlines in 1994 after 26 years as a Pilot. He loved his family, playing
golf, shooting skeet and saltwater fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Robin Kreider; grandson,
Ryan McSwiggan; sister, Carol Kreider Kunzelman.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from
12:30 pm until 2:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the
visitation a memorial service will be conducted in the chapel.
Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 W. McIntosh Rd., Griffin,
Georgia is in charge of arrangements.

Barbara Callahan Kreider
March 26, 1936 - Nov. 9. 2017
Barbara Callahan Kreider, born in Boston, Mass., on March
26, 1936; she passed away surrounded by her family on Nov. 9, 2017. She
graduated from University of Main and was a nurse in Bangor, Main. She and her
family moved to Griffin in 1978 where they raised their family and beloved
animals. Her life was filled by her activity in her community working with the
FarmBureau, Georgia Quarter Horse Association, Red Hat Society, state politics
and other organizations………
