Obituary
: Petrich, Stevan R. age 68, of Eden Prairie,
passed away on January 21, 2022 in the presence of his loving wife, Carrie and
family. Steve was an upstanding human being. His strength of character and
commitment to being an exceptional husband and friend was admirable. His kind
heart was truly remarkable which was clearly seen through the way he connected
with his family, countless friends and special cats Moe and Tootie.
Steve grew up in Duluth, MN and had an adventurous soul. His
passion for flying at a young age inspired his long career as an airline pilot
and he retired with the rank of Captain from Delta Airlines. He loved flying,
fishing, hunting, snow-mobiling, travel, family, friends, and spending time at
the hanger (Man Cave). He also loved spending time at his family's cabin on
Crane Lake which he helped to build with his father when he was young.
Steve is survived by his wife and best friend, Carrie Mikesh;
stepsons, Dustin Braun (Nicole), Dylan Braun, and Garrett Braun (Teale); very
special granddaughters, Coralie and Gwendolyn; sister, Patti (Buck), brother,
Bill (Kristy); many nieces and nephews, in-laws, extended family and friends.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents George and Kathryn Petrich.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held this spring/summer.
Steve was one of the first Captains I flew with at NWA. He was wonderful, kind, friendly, and a good mentor. I remember coming home from trips with Steve, and my face would hurt from laughing so hard! Please let us know about any service you may have. So sorry for the loss...
