July 10, 1929 – July 1, 2022

 

Notice of passing…..Delta Golden Wings member retired Delta pilot Captain William Jerald Morse Jr., age 92.  Captain Morse joined Delta Air Lines 12-03-1956.  He is survived by his wife Grace, and by his children and stepchildren, plus his  grand- and greatgrandchildren.

Obituary : William Jerald Morse, Jr.

July 10, 1929 – July 1, 2022

 

William J. Morse, Jr. died peacefully on July 1, 2022, at Halifax Hospice in Port Orange, Florida, surrounded by family. He was born in Oxford, Nebraska, on July 10, 1929, to the late William J. Morse and Ruby Bloom Morse.

 

Bill served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, and retired as a Captain in 1970. He then had a successful 25-year career as a captain for Delta Air Lines.

 

He was a loving family man, and is survived by his wife Grace; sons Gregory (Sherrill), Brian (Beverly); grandsons Rion, Brad, and Lee; granddaughters Melissa and Lindsey; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter; as well as Grace’s children, Steven, Susan, and granddaughter Jillian.
