Captain Bandy joined Pan American 01-16-1967 and retired with Delta Air Lines.  He was widowed in 2015 with the passing of his wife Nancy.

JOHN BANDY OBITUARY

   John Morley Bandy died March 3, 2016, in Burlington, Vt., at the age of 80. My brother, John Bandy, was born in Lindsay, Calif., in 1935 to Estelle and Marx Bandy. After graduating from Lindsay High School he attended and graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He flew helicopters in Vietnam, serving as a "Jolly Green Giant" plucking downed pilots out of the ocean. After the Navy he flew for Pan Am and Delta before retiring. His wife Nancy passed away last year after over fifty years of marriage. Their son Jaa lives in Florida with his wife Debb. Their daughter lives in Vermont with her two children. He is survived by his sister Susan Bandy Richardson Beatie of Atascadero; nephew Jim of San Luis Obispo, and niece Cathy of Paso Robles. At his request, no services were held.
