June 26, 1924 - October 25, 2022

 

Notice of passing…..retired Northwest Airlines Flight Engineer and RNPA member Clarence Louis Holter, age 98.  Clarence joined Northwest Airlines 08-26-1942.  Widowed in 2016, Clarence is survived by his children and grandchildren along with his 6 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Obituary : Clarence Louis Holter

Holter, Clarence Louis age 98, passed away peacefully on October 25th at The Regent of Burnsville. Clarence was born June 26, 1924 in Minneapolis and joined the Army Air Corp. in 1943. He began working at Northwest Airlines in August of 1942 as an Apprentice Mechanic, where he met his future wife, Audrey Malecky. They were married September 1, 1951. He continued working at Northwest for his entire career, eventually retiring as a Flight Engineer on the Boeing 747. They lived in Richfield until 1973, when they moved to Northfield.

Preceded in death by his wife, Audrey; sisters, Lorraine (Reine) Ernst and Lillian (Jim) Morgan; brothers, Earl (Florence) Isackson and Kermit Isackson; brothers-and sisters- in-law, Kenneth (Jean) Malecky, Edward Malecky and Bernard (Anna) Malecky.

Survived by sons, John (Janette) and David (Darcy) Holter and daughter, Barb (Gary) Johnson; grandchildren, Joseph (Sarah) Holter, Theresa Keltgen and Madelyn Holter; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. A special thank you to the staff of Apple Valley Villa, Regent of Burnsville and Grace Hospice. Visitation will be at Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave. S., Richfield, MN, 55423 on Monday, 11/7/22 from 4PM until 7PM. Private interment at Fort Snelling. Audrey D. Holter    (1930-2016)

Holter, Audrey D. Born October 17, 1930, in St. Paul the daughter of Joseph and Elsie (Hansen) Malecky. She was raised in St. Paul and graduated from N. St. Paul. In 1948, Audrey began working for Northwest Airlines. She was united in marriage to Clarence Holter on September 1, 1951. In 1968 Audrey began working for Nott Corporation in Bloomington. Clarence and Audrey moved to Northfield in 1973 and she continued working for the Nott Corporation until her retirement in 1984. Audrey passed away May 30, 2016, at the Northfield Retirement Community at the age of 85. She is survived by her husband Clarence of Northfield; two sons John (and Janette) of Richfield; David (and Darcy) of Andover; a daughter Barb (and Gary) Johnson of Royalton; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Church of the Annunciation, rural Northfield. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
