Friends and family have notified us with news of
the passing of Northeast/Delta pilot Captain Jack McCarthy, age 90 :
“Captain
John Lawrence McCarthy of Georgetown, MA passed away on September 30, 2024.
Jack started his aviation career with Northeast Airlines in December, 1959 and
retired from Delta Air Lines in January, 1994 as a Boston based Boeing 727
Captain. He is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Martha Finnigan McCarthy,
a retired Delta flight attendant, a son and daughter and four grandchildren.”
